Ghanaian singer-songwriter, Kontihene, has hinted that, he hid himself to add value to himself in order to stand tall in his music career.


He made this confession when he was asked where he has been by Host Jon Germain, on Starr FM’s Mid-morning show , The Zone.
” I pushed myself back to add value to to myself, to build myself, to put the piece together in order to stand tall and bounce back”.

When asked why most of his songs are not aired, after so much effort expended on a particular album, the ‘Aketesea’ hit maker stated that, radio presenters are playing tricks on him, even though they know he is is a great musician.
“The radio presenter are playing tricks on me. They know am a great performer, lyricist, composer and the finest musician”. he said.

Touching on his new single ‘Trick’, the ‘Migizigi’ singer hinted that, he was inspired by the tricks in the society, hence the release of this song.
“The tricks in the society; the tricks that when you release a new song people don’t want to play; you project a song, they will be playing the old one’s in the name of ‘Adadamu Special’”. he exclaimed.

Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng is known in Showbiz circles as Kontihene.He is credited as being the first artist who helped introduced jama into Ghanaian music circles through his debut hit, ‘Aketesea’.
